German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel called for dialogue instead of “ice age” in relations with Russia.
Isolating Russia politically is not a way forward at a time when the world is struggling with global challenges, German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel said Thursday.

“I am convinced that permanent isolation is not a sensible policy. Russia is our neighbor and also a very important global actor. Exactly now when we have profound disagreements we need a dialogue – not ‘ice age,’” Gabriel said at a national industrial conference in Berlin.
